WHAT IS THE COLORADO ALTERNATIVE FUEL VEHICLE TAX CREDIT?

Beginning January 1st, 2026 through December 31st, 2026, there are two different credits available: a $750 credit for LEAF models with an MSRP above $35,000 or a $3,250 credit for LEAF models with an MSRP of less than $34,999. WHAT IS THE COLORADO VEHICLE EXCHANGE PROGRAM?

The Vehicle Exchange Colorado (VXC) program helps income- qualified Coloradans recycle and replace their old or high-emitting vehicles with electric vehicles (EVs). Qualified Colorado residents can get an additional $9,000 rebate on their 2026 LEAF purchase (or $6,000 on qualifying used EVs) through the Vehicle Exchange Program.
